mga year in review (2009)

it has been another full year for us at mga and we love it! below are some pics from our family album (some snap shots from our little "push 'n point" camera too!) which we would like to share with you our family, our friends & our clients. we trust that this blog finds you well and you have a wonderful end of year, enjoy the festivities!

a MGA 2009 snapshot!

we celebrated 2009 with some great friends. we had a great time swimming, eating great food, dancing, playing "sing star" and laughing a lot! it was a great way to start 2009.

we were very excited when we launched our new look and name. mga occasions has been on the plan for a long time. a dream of ours coming to fruition. we launched our new look, name and website. make sure you check out our blog regularly in 2010!

the summer holidays were great. we love this time of year. we love spending time with our girls. going to the beach, movies, swimming, bike rides, going to the family farm, shopping & of course playing games at home, cooking & watching Telly!

in early 2009 our little Georgie started going to Pre-School. She was very excited and loved going to do craft, drawing and painting. a true little artist. she also loves taking photo's - a little mga in the making!

in april we packed up and headed off to the USA. it was a great adventure. travel is really important to us at mga, we want to show the kids the world if we can. it is so good for them to learn about how other people live. the girls loved it. now we are planning the next trip!

mga with their daddy in new york city. the best city ever (well mine anyway!) so busy, busy, busy. there is always something to look at!

hanging out together in washington dc

down town in little annapolis - love the coffee shops!

there she is - the statue of liberty. mga loved spotting her as we drove around nyc.

wall street - was a little sad. now all blocked off since 9/11. the economic crisis also saw people looking around the stock exchange building.

we took mga to see a live musical on broadway - "little mermaid". they LOVED it! broadway is so exciting to walk around. we came out of the musical at 11.30pm and there were sooooo many people in the city. it was the hottest day in april that they have had in years. it was about 40 degrees (seeing it was just there first week in spring!). we were expecting to wear jackets and beanies!

mothers day breakfast at mga's house. the girls and benton spoiled me! family time, you have to love it!

mga was excited to win an award for a design we did for Avondale School (i don't know if any of you know but I do part time work for Avondale - a great school!). a great achievement for mga.

we spent some time with our family on their olive farm going horse riding. they really love riding horses. maybe we could get a little farm for them one day!

another thing we love doing with our mga is going to feed the kangaroo's down the road from our house. the girls take a loaf of bread and get up close to pat them. it is so nice seeing them bond with god's animals.

in september mga headed to the gold coast for another family holiday. while we were there we celebrated my birthday and fathers day. benton is just the best dad and his girls adore him.

benton also organised the combined choirs. there were over 270 kids singing this year. it was a wonderful morning - praising our maker! well done hunny!

maegen and georgia performed at the annual deborah lee dance academy. they are sooo cute in their little costumes! we are proud of you girls.

georgie had a practice day at avondale school for kindy next year. she is really excited about it!

mga love going to the beach. we try to go often. we love collecting shells. maegen and abbey particularly love surfing with their dad!

abbey and georgia went to the avondale school early years jungle party. it was so much fun. abbey is so friendly. she let the snake man hang the snake around her head. i was more nervous than she was!

our mga all turned another year older. abbey turned 3.

georgie is now 5! she is a delightful little lady and loves giving us loads of hugs!

maegen (that is pronouced "maygen"!) turned 7. she is such a delight and we were really proud of her finishing year 1. she is a mad reader, reading at least a short novel a week! we love you mae.

maegen also loves singing in the school choir. music is also a big part of us here at mga.

benton and i celebrated 10 years of marriage. we got to go away together for 5 days without the kids to celebrate.... thanks for being a great, supportive husband.

my benton also reach another milestone, he turned 40! i threw a surprise 40th party for him with over 60 of our special family and friends. he had no idea. it was a great celebration.

thanks to all our clients for making mga what it is. without you mga wouldn't be a family business. we hope that you have a great end-of-year break. 2010 will be another exciting year for us at mga. as you might know we have started working on our studio. we can't wait for you all to pop over and see it and have a cuppa with us! thanks again and god bless you all as we roll into twenty ten.
